The One With My 8th weekend in Tokyo. A tired one. Part 2 of 2.

We popped by Kitanomaru Park after leaving Yasukuni Shrine.

The entrance of Kitanomaru Park (北の丸公園), one of the two areas of the Imperial Palace open to the public, the other being the Imperial Palace East Garden.

The main entrance of Nippon Budokan 日本武道館.

We decided to go in and take a look and managed to catch a Kendo competition. It was some 55th National Kendo Competition and there were tons of kawaii school girls in their sailor-moon uniforms screaming and cheering for their team. We watched for a while before we decided that we are unable to understand how Kendo is being played and so we left after 15 mins.

The bridge across the moat surrounding the Imperial Palace.

We were lucky enough to catch the 2nd procession of the day. This time, it was when we were coming out from Hiroo Station (広尾駅) and looking for a place to eat dinner when we chanced upon them.

Dinner at Bangkok Kitchen. Good authentic Thai food. Not cheap of course.

Cute pair of statue-san sitting on a parapet inside the restaurant.

We wanted to go for desserts but we decided not to let the half-bottle of Jack Daniel’s go to waste and so, we went for our second round of drinking in three nights. We spent our time checking out this super “cool” website, tok-kong.com while drinking.
