Fruits are exorbitantly expensive in Japan. Imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when I saw that there were strawberries going for ¥300 for a big pack. They weren’t very big but boy were there a lot in the packet. It’s always good to know that they sell cheap fruits near your place.
¥300 (S$3.80) for a big pack of strawberries.

BBC ran an article on square watermelons in 2001 and remember the time when I was staying in Hiroo (広尾) and I saw this square watermelon? I doubt I’ll ever be insane enough to buy one to try.
I really wanna check out the World’s Biggest T-Shirt Vending Machine Store in Harajuku (原宿). But that’s not gonna be till much later coz of the impending spate of business trips. In my opinion, Uniglo is the Japanese equivalent of Singapore’s Giordano, retailing really common, no-frill vêtements. Anyway, regarding the business trips, I will probably update my travel plan a little later on. I might be overseas for 17 days in a row. The tentative plan is Shanghai (3 days), Hongkong (2 days), Shenzhen (4 days), Hongkong (2 days) and finally Beijing (6 days).
Apple has released some cool commercials for the iPhone, and it’s official release date has been set for June 29, that’s real soon! Rumours (hoaxes if you will) of it being delayed are already circulating. Even if CNET gave it a less than favourable rating, this seems to sum up my sentiments quite nicely. Ever since iPhone was announced, it kindda caused a hoo haa in the major players in the telecommunications industry. All eyes are on it. All eyes. I am no exception.
