The One Where Three’s A Charm
For the 3rd consecutive year, I have included Nikko (日光) in my annual 紅葉 pilgrimage. As they say, “three’s a charm.” And a charm it was.
The 見ごろ of 中禅寺湖 was a couple of weeks back so we were greeted more by dull bare branches instead of luscious myriads of red, orange and yellow. Despite lacking the splendor of the foliage crown, the 97m high veritable Kegon Falls (華厳滝) wasn’t too shabby a sight.
The overcast sky that day made the lighting less than satisfactory. Without a tripod, taking good pictures was a Sisyphean task.
I love my lens!
